The whole order items view is very cluttered with lots of information already
and I'm not convinced adding this makes it any easier for users other than
developers. I'm sure in the past I've done this sort of patch when trying to
find bugs or call ecas direct but I never convinced myself that it would be
good for the majority of the site users.
Any thoughts on making it login dependent through some means?
I couldn't see much sense in the "shoppingcart.CommentLine" and a quick text
search didn't show much either. I think there is a product comment feature
which should be checked to see if that uses it some how, certainly worthy of
further investigation, commenting and/or removing.
