I feel sort of guilty because I'm the one who wrote those templates in the first place. I wrote them in PHP because I needed something to quickly publish HTML without copy-pasting headers, footers and so on.
With that being said, if folks are okay with this, I intend on replacing them with FreeMarker and automating publishing with Gradle. I can't do that at the moment because there seems to be a lot of commit action recently. So I'll wait until things settle down a bit.
