Hello, I'm not sure it is the answer you are looking for, but really the ultimate description of how OFBiz components work is the OFBiz source code itself.
There are various documents you can refer to in Confluence ( https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/OFBIZ/Technical+Documentation), but I imagine you have already looked there and found gaps that you are looking to plug. In that case the source code - along with focussed questions to this mailing list - are your next step. Once you have found an answer, a pull request to improve the XSD file, or updates to pages in Confluence are appreciated and will help others who find themselves in the same position as you. Dan.
