Hi everyone,
interesting discussion for me, because I proposed a similar solution in 2008
(as described in
http://ofbiz.135035.n4.nabble.com/contribution-configurable-OFBiz-configuration-td190566.html).
We are using it for a few years now and it simplifies things a lot.
The mechanism does not cover all properties in all configuration files, it's
primarily used for the system stages we normally have (development, testing,
acceptance, production) and mainly covers ports, security, caching, connectors,
urls and such.
We are still willing to contribute ;-)
