Anyway, if we would have used patches, the same (changes in releases) would
have be needed:
* specific patches for releases (ports numbers must be different, because we
want to run any of them simultaneously, also with trunk)
* either with
** ant targets (easier for infra but needs backports)
** or calls from the Builbot scripts (no backports but more work for infra, I
guess not wanted)
