IMO, we should change the fields to time-stamp, if no objection from anyone. 
Sometime it may happen that we need periods for hours not for day. Also by 
design we have option to use CustomTimePeriod only, but agree on point Andrian 
suggested that we can go for WorkEffort in such cases. But sometimes we have to 
use CustomTimePeriod as per the requirement where we need some periods on 
hourly basis.
Please let us know if we can go for changing the field types. Also we are 
totally fine if some brainstorming/discussion required for this change. Thanks!
