Pierre Smits commented on OFBIZ-5294: ------------------------------------- This is about what message is conveyed, by this project, to the architects, developers, testers etc that work on improving the product, or start on developing new solutions. Is that message: "If you do common screen decorators, it is best to have them in the same place (CommonScreens.xml) in your component as they can be found in other components. That way everybody know how structure is envisioned by this project (like it is done to other elements in a component and where such can be found"? Or is that message: "Basically we don't care about you go about it"? And thus have no consistency regarding this... Clear messages help avoid confusions and lengthy and heated discussions when it comes to including such deviation from 'standard practices' into trunk. > Common screen decorators don't follow best practice of being in > CommonScreens.xml > --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- > > Key: OFBIZ-5294 > URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/OFBIZ-5294 > Project: OFBiz > Issue Type: Bug > Components: product > Affects Versions: Release Branch 11.04, Release Branch 12.04, Release > Branch 13.07, Trunk > Reporter: Pierre Smits > > Commonly screen decorators are found in file CommonScreens.xml of the > component.
