In case anyone requires a similar need, this issue is handled by the
WorkOrderItemFulfillment entity and its relation to production runs. I used
the WorkEffort.estimatedCost field to handle the order item BOM price
extraction. I created OFBIZ-6204 to automatically create all preceeding
production runs upon which the top level one created to fulfill the order item
is dependent.
