So the latest news section gets it content feed from our Announce Mailing
List.

Whilst it may be possible to make checks and conversions of links from text
input; it would be a
low priority task. If anyone is interested in following through with this
then step 1 would be to
create an INFRA Jira ticket and we go from there as time allows. (Quick fix
is the source content
doesnt wrap the links is braces ;) )
