Indeed, and furthermore it validates all URL based properties (select, orderby
etc) against the metadata.
I am currently researching how to use Olingo v4 server side to provide the
dynamic properties. But the latest information I found is here:

Is that still true? So Olingo v4 does not support dynamic properties? What is
the isOpenType=true setting used for then?
