Technically and from a Apache process point of view there should no
difference between a major, minor or bugfix release. Each release will get
it's own branch and we have to vote to get it done. Currently we have one
release branch which is named rel-1.0.0. The next minor release will
result in a branch rel-1.1.0. A bugfix release could result in a branch
rel-1.1.1.

[1] gives a good overview which kind of release (major, minor, bugfix)
should be next.

Stephan
