Cool. I have a jira assigned to me by Starch to update some ancient stuff as well, I'll look at our dependency versions at some point and figure out what might be worth updating, although a lot of old versions in some modules got updated by the newer versions in other modules when I merged all the versions... and guess what, no failures apart from minor API changes, which I think shows the merge was a decent plan.
Anyway I'm a bit OCD, and there's a load of stuff it flagged up. If people don't object I'll just file some Jira and work through stuff Sonar reckons is wrong.
