## Description:
- Apache OODT is a software framework as well as an architectural style
for
the rapid construction of scientific data systems. It provides
components
for data capture, curation, metadata extraction, workflow management,
resource management, and data processing.
## Issues:
- There are no issues requiring board attention at this time.
## Activity:
- 2 GSoC projects are ongoing as of now. One to improve the OPSUI, which is
the web interface of OODT and the other one to simplify the OODT
deployment
to support kubernetes. Progress on both projects seems good and we think
these improvements will help us gain more activity in the future.
- Last release was 1.2.5 released on Thu Sep 13 2018
## Health report:
- Due to GSoC activity, mailing list activity has increased considerably.
Few
PRs were merged during this period which were received from the GSoC
applicants.
- No PMC additions since OODT did not get significant contributions from
newcomers throughout the last year
- 1.9 release is yet to be made. We are in the final phase of
testing/validating as of now. We hope that we will be able to release it
in
the next reporting period.
## PMC changes:
- Currently 45 PMC members.
- No new PMC members added in the last 3 months
- Last PMC addition was Imesha Sudasingha on Mon Aug 28 2017
## Committer base changes:
- Currently 46 committers.
- No new committers added in the last 3 months

- As mentioned earlier, 2 GSoC projects have resulted in more discussion on
mailing lists.
