Hive query log location contains hive logs and statistics about the query's
plan progress when run from CLI. The twiki
https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/Hive/AdminManual+Configuration
contains information on statistics/plan progress and how to enable them.
On Oozie Hive action, the log information is already available via
syslog/stdout of launcher logs. The statistics information is nice to have. I
can't speak for others, but I have not used it so far.
