Understood. I initially misunderstood your solution. The `partitions(["a",
"m"])` approach implies three list operations: from `dir/` to `dir/a`, from
`dir/a` to `dir/m` and from `dir/m` onward, not three list operations:
list("dir/a"), list("dir/m") and others.
