"openjpa-maven-plugin" is still fine. The groupId "org.apache.openjpa" of the plugin will make it 100% clear that this is the version from OpenJPA itself. After the first release, I'll move on and deprecate the version on codehaus.org. I'll create a Jira and will attach the plugin as patch.
