H2 closes the file database whenever the connection pool of a factory drains to zero — which the suite does once per EntityManagerFactory — and compacts the store on every close; that compaction trips an assertion inside H2 (`RandomAccessStore.moveChunkInside`, assertions are on under Surefire), the close is abandoned half way through and commits made just before it are lost, so a later test class can find the schema it just created gone. On a pristine master the failed close is recorded 2398 times in a single run of `TestEntityManagerFactoryTCK,TestGetNamedQueries,criteria.Test*`; with `DB_CLOSE_DELAY=-1` it is 2, that selection stays green and runs in about 30 seconds instead of several minutes of MVStore churn. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
