The scheduled Databases workflow added by OPENJPA-3011 runs weekly and nobody
learns when it fails; the first run (12 Oct 2026) was red and was only noticed
by chance.
.asf.yaml supports a notification scheme for GitHub Actions results:

jobs: <list>@openjpa.apache.org
Per the infrastructure documentation this "triggers emails when a workflow run
fails or if it succeeds after a series of failures", and normal successful runs
are not mailed, so the volume is low. It only takes effect in the default
branch, and each change to the notification settings is announced to private@.
