https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/OPENJPA-3057 With Slice, the `openjpa.hint.slice.Target` hint and a configured `QueryTargetPolicy` were honoured by queries and the JPQL bulk DELETE, but a JPQL bulk UPDATE and a native SQL UPDATE/DELETE ran on every slice. The policy was not consulted for any bulk statement. - `DistributedStoreQuery#executeUpdate` and `DistributedSQLStoreQuery#executeDelete`/`#executeUpdate` filter by target, as `executeDelete` already did. - `DistributedQueryImpl` applies the policy in `deleteAll`/`updateAll` too (named and positional parameters). - A target that names no active slice now fails instead of running on all slices. Without a target, statements still run on all slices. - `TargetFetchConfiguration`: setting another hint after the target hint no longer resets the explicit target. - Manual and 4.2 migration note updated. `TestSliceTargetBulkWrite` and `TestSliceTargetPolicyBulkWrite` (13 tests, 10 fail without the fix).
