I echo Frank's comments re sponsorship levels. What do you aim to fund via sponsorship? How much will that cost?
Basically, $500 sponsorship is too low to get much value. I expect we should be chasing 10 to 100 times that before we will be able to provide meaningful support to Openlayers infrastructure support.
