The feature that is attached to the transformcomplete event is not the transformed feature as stated in the documentation. Instead the event feature is a LineString (the one that builts the box around the feature), if you move the original feature, or a Point (the one you used for moveing the node), if you turn/resize it. I have created a ticket http://trac.openlayers.org/ticket/2714 and a solution is provided as patch attached to the ticket. Please have a look at it.
