Hi Joseph,

we tried to clarify that in another discussion:
http://markmail.org/message/6fkcq4nkqtfh7gvx

Quote:
regarding *OPENMEETINGS-669* This has nothing todo *with* Release 2.1.1. I
don't think it should be a note in the release notes. The comment in the
Jira ticket *I have retested on OM 3.0. Recording works without errors.* =>
This error can *potentially* *happen* *with* *any* *version* of *
OpenMeetings*. I can clarify the details of how and when this can *happen*,
however the root cause of the issue is not *any* new introduced
functionality of *OpenMeetings* 2.1.1 and it has _nothing_ todo *with* the
length of the recording. I would be very happy if there would be a concrete
steps to reproduce the issue in the Bug report.

Why and how this Release Note made its way into the official release notes
then: I don't know.
I think its nonsense to make such general recommendations without even
having clear steps on how to reproduce and issue.
And as I tried to explain: The length of the recording has nothing to do
with it.
However somebody has changed the Notes, people voted +1 and that's how it
works to create a release.

So from my point of view: You should update to the later release and ignore
that note, the later release will improve the situation, not make it more
bad. In fact release 2.1.1 introduces zero change in the recording process.
So whatever this Release Note tries to say, it has nothing to do with that
release.

Sebastian
