Hello everyone, I am a final year student looking to contribute toward Apache's OpenNLP project. My major project is in the field of NLP and we use Stanford's CoreNLP package for that. So I have experience of NLP and the many issues that are relevant in NLP. I have programming experience in Java, C++ and Python. I am interested and have knowledge of the techniques used in the fields of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Data Mining.
I would like to contribute to OpenNLP. How can I contribute? What skillset would I need to contribute? I looked over the JIRA issues page and I would like to contribute to resolving some issues present there. Which issue should I take up first? Thank you.
