Hey Suneel! I will take you up on that. :) I think the release steps ( https://opennlp.apache.org/release.html) are up to date and I don't think they have changed much in the past 6 years.
One difference is you don't need to run the eval tests now. We have Jenkins doing that for us and everything is passing right now -- https://ci-builds.apache.org/blue/organizations/jenkins/OpenNLP%2Feval-tests/activity Ping us if you need anything.
