Following up to myself:
libxmlsec needs the nss development headers and libs. Are they available too?
I just committed r1540735 to enable pkgconfig when system-nss is active. This should solve the config-problem on most systems.
We could use new checks for configure for that scenario...
Autoconf experts are invited to implement a nss>=3.2 and nspr>=4.0 in our configure.in template.
