No formal contacts, but representatives from Multiracio speak at OpenOffice events, like the latest ApacheCon Europe: https://blogs.apache.org/OOo/entry/openoffice_track_at_apachecon_day (internal links are now broken, since the site now points to ApacheCon 2014, November in Budapest).
