I have been searching for the replacement for Microsoft Publisher. After testing about 10 solutions OpenOffice Draw is what I have been using and recommending to clients.
I do have one Request. On Publisher all the space around a page was used like a blotter. If you switched pages, what was on the "blotter" stayed and was available for what ever page you selected next. It saves having to cut & paste / or copy and past to the next page. It is just there on the blotter. In OpenOffice Draw . . . if you put something one the "Blotter" and switch pages, it remains only available for the page it was placed on. So you have to cut & paste. I may drop may copy 20 pictures from a folder into a document on the blotter. The intention is to maybe put 2 - 4 per page. If they are on the Blotter I can see them, and just drag and drop them to each page that want, without having to copy or cut after they are there in Publisher. Most of my customers use it the same way. Other than that, I LOVE the OpenOffice Draw Program. Thank you, [cid:[email protected]]
