Hello,

I am Juan Pablo Martinez, co-author and maintainer of the Aragonese
Hunspell spelling dictionary originally developed with Santiago Paricio.
We have released version 0.3.0, following the orthography of the Academia
Aragonesa de la Lengua (AAL), with 21,060 dictionary entries and revised
affix rules.

Project, source files and documentation:
https://github.com/Juanpabl/hunspell-an

Release and OXT package:
https://github.com/Juanpabl/hunspell-an/releases/tag/v0.3.0

The dictionary retains its alternative licensing:
MPL-1.1 OR GPL-3.0-or-later OR LGPL-3.0-or-later.
The original authors' credits and full license texts are included.

The OXT has been tested successfully in LibreOffice, and the separate
Mozilla dictionary packages have been tested in Firefox and Thunderbird.
However, in the Apache OpenOffice installation I checked, I could not find
Aragonese in the list of languages that can be assigned to document text.
I therefore have not yet confirmed that the dictionary works in OpenOffice.

Could you please advise:

1. Is Aragonese (ISO 639-1: an, BCP 47: an / an-ES) supported as a document
language in current Apache OpenOffice? If so, how can it be selected?
If not, what is the process for requesting or contributing this support?

2. Can our OXT be registered as an Aragonese spelling dictionary without
changes to OpenOffice, or is a language identifier/UI change required?

3. What is the recommended process for publishing the dictionary in the
OpenOffice Extensions catalog? I found OXT dictionaries for other
languages but could not locate an existing Aragonese listing. Please
let me know if there is one that should be updated instead.

4. Once language support and compatibility are confirmed, would it be
possible to consider this dictionary for inclusion in relevant future
OpenOffice distributions? Please advise on any licensing or packaging
   requirements specific to Apache OpenOffice.

The standalone OXT currently uses org.aragones.hunspell.aal as its
identifier. The older dictionary distributed by LibreOffice used
aragonese_spellchecker.from.Paricio.Martinez.ACAR. If an older OpenOffice
listing or bundled version exists, I would appreciate advice on preserving
update compatibility.

I would be happy to provide further information and test a proposed
solution.

Thank you,
Juan Pablo Martinez
