Yeah, makes no sense.
This is a bug: the desktop integration packages must not contain direct
references to program to keep the later relocatable - please file an
issue for this. If this is also the case for 2.2, I would even consider
this a stopper.

The desktop integration packages contain just symbolic links to those
files (with the indirection of the dynamically created
/etc/openoffice.org2.2 link).
This is necessary to make a menu entry disappear if the user removes one
of the applications.
