Hi

I would like to know if i can help on the development of OpenOffice, and
would like to know:

1) Which languages had been used so far for the development of the
OpenOffice
Core,

Mostly C and C++

2) Which tools are needed or used by the developer team to compile, debug,
and test the OpenOffice modules?

You should have a look at:

http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/Main_Page

There, you will find lots of info about many topics.
Here is a TODO list for OOo:

http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/To-Dos#Features_with_a_high_number_of_votes

So, you should have a look at such issues and select which ones
you would like to work on, and then, just send us an e-mail.

If you want to go faster, you can go on IRC on freenode and the
#dev.openoffice.org channel.

BTW, even if you can't participate to the core dev, there are many
ways to help OOo.

Regards,
