For the sources question, you'll find most of the docx import in the writerfilter/source folder. There are two interesting folders inside that one: * ooxml: contains the DOCX tokenizer * dmapper: maps the tokens to OOo UNO API The Docx import also reuses some parts of the code in the oox module (well that's how we called the root folders with CVS). I don't know what you can invest here, but I'ld be very happy to see some new contributor on the DOCX import. The Docx import is basically working, but as you might have seen it there is still place for improvements! For your application, you should consider what is working ATM and what is not. Your application may not use all the docx features.
