hi @sciabarracom let me know if this approach suits. btw while working on this PR, i found some other bugs as well, - check-ports never catches a busy port on Linux (tasks repo). The regex ":(^| )$port " can't match ss output, so the check is a no-op (my mongodb running on port 27017 had to be shut down when the command failed). - The CLI test suite deletes the real `~/.ops`.
