Since hardly any OSM map correctly renders glaciers in Antarctica at the moment despite the current tagging scheme [1] being used for more than a year now i have put together a processing script to simplify this for map developers. It allows you to render the Antarctic ice the same way as normal glaciers despite the fact it is mapped differently.
