Don't be so harsh. Given that www.osm.org -> www.openstreetmap.org, wiki.osm.org -> wiki.openstreetmap.org forum.osm.org -> forum.openstreetmap.org planet.osm.org -> planet.openstreetmap.org then it's *not* unreasonable to suspect that the foundation.osm.org should work, whether or not it has ever been used before. Since we don't actually publish a list of "these are all the domains that work, please don't use any other ones", there's also no point in jumping on someone for not having read said non-existent list. > You might as well ask why fraggle.osm.org doesn't redirect to > osmfoundation.org. That's hardly the same, and you know it. > If you want to write chef recipes to handle automatically setting up all the > different domains then please be my guest. If it's something that would have value, but that you don't want to do yourself, we can open a ticket on the chef issue tracker and point people towards it. https://github.com/openstreetmap/chef/issues Thanks, Andy _______________________________________________ dev mailing list dev@openstreetmap.org https://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/dev
