I'm currently trying out Osmium Node.js bindings and also had a look at the Python bindings. Basically, because I have not touched/written C/C++ for a long time now. :)

My use case would be to do some filtering (e.g. country relations, ways and nodes) and then write to a osm or osm.pbf file.

Is this even possible? I have found nothing mentioning this and I think both bindings do not expose writer classes as far as I have found out by looking at the code.

Would it be necessary to go down the C++ way to accomplish this?

Thanks,
