Piggy-backing off this, https://github.com/stirringhalo/openstreetmap-mapboxgl uses the work of Rory McCann for the tileschema and the MapboxGL library to render OSM vector tiles on the client. An MBTiles is generated with the openstreetmap-style branch of OSM2VectorTiles. I have a demo up at http://45.56.99.211/ which has an export of Switzerland.
Please, feel free to improve the style and generate PRs on github for your changes!
