Indeed, but I suspect that if you try and use a new Slack workspace for this you'll end up doing this mostly on your own, so that's a bit of a moot point.

That's not necessarily a showstopper - many of the most useful things in OSM started out as "single person projects" and some still are, but if you genuinely want a community to work on this I don't think it's the best route to go.
