I don't think it's too difficult, there just needs to be a well known location where it's installed. It's unclear if we'll have to do the installation or a newer version of Python will be available with a XenServer update.
Specifically ovs-xapi-sync[1] will need an update to point to the new python location if the system python isn't updated. I've pointed Citrix to this mailing list thread.
