We have a ticket open to upgrade xbean for ASM. https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/OWB-1429 we now use xbean 4.21 but in main we already have 4.27 which supports much newer Java versions. We should at least upgrade to 4.24 to support Java 21 I can roll a new release if you like. Sorry for not catching this earlier.
