I just learned that there are layers above wxPython available that make wxPython more Pythonic. Two were mentioned:
Dabo: http://dabodev.com/ Wax: http://sourceforge.net/projects/waxgui or maybe http://zephyrfalcon.org/labs/dope_on_wax.html According to some comments in the comp.lang.python newsgroup, Wax may be nearly catatonic (although very recent release seems to have happened). Not sure if the supposedly easier and higher level APIs of those layers would help us much, since we have issues with wxWidgets itself. Anybody have any experience with them? -- Heikki Toivonen
