https://cosmo-demo.osafoundation.org/ has been updated to Cosmo 0.2, the latest released version. It was previously running 0.2-4. It's my understanding that this update will fix certain Chandler operations against cosmo-demo (thus the cross-posting to dev).
All user data has been preserved (by copying $COSMO_ROOT/data from the old to the new instance). A fresh Cosmo instance was created for this update and so the old instance is still around if there are problems found. This data copy is perhaps the first test of data perservation between Cosmo updates and was done as an explicit test of our cosmo-demo.osafoundation.org service level of "you are welcome to use the cosmo-demo service; we'll try to not delete your data unless we have to but no guarantees". It seems to have worked, but please test and report any problems to the cosmo list. We might not always be able to preserve data between minor or major updates of cosmo-demo. If a 0.2 -> 0.3 update (for instance) changes the format of the $COSMO_ROOT/data directory and no migration script is available, we would have problems upgrading without starting over. -- Jared Rhine <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ Open Source Applications Foundation "Dev" mailing list http://lists.osafoundation.org/mailman/listinfo/dev
