I am new to perl and am going through the dev manual. I am attempting to write the Notify Module in section 7.2 of the manual. I followed the code exactly in the book except I am confused because there is a section in the new subroutine that looks like this "[...]", minus the quotes. What am I supposed to include their? I am having an issue when I try and log onto OTRS and I receive the error below: Software error: Undefined subroutine &Kernel::Output::HTML::NotificationMotd::new called at C:\OTRS\otrs\/Kernel/Output/HTML/Layout.pm line 1972. For help, please send mail to the webmaster ([EMAIL PROTECTED] <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> ), giving this error message and the time and date of the error. My guess is that since I didn't include anything in the new subroutine of the NotficationMotd.pm file is the cause of my error. I just don't know how to procede. Any help is greatly appreciated.
