In the old pagespeed repo, README.pagespeed [1] states: ``` URL: http://giflib.sourceforge.net/ Version: 5.1.4 ... Local Modifications: none ``` Aside from the .gyp file we need (which is consolidated in this change) it looks like we can point the submodule to the source of truth.
