Quick update re: the Java impl. Thanks for the feedback, on
https://github.com/apache/parquet-java/pull/3397, Russel! I pulled
https://github.com/apache/parquet-java/pull/3791 into its own PR (thanks
for the quick approval too, Gang). Assuming no objections, I think we can
merge #3791, and then go ahead of #3397.
