And again: parquet.apache.org needs to be live, as we'll be pointing folks to
it in the press release :-)

Ack. Here's another example of a TLP press release for a project that had a
pre-existing user base prior to coming to the ASF.

https://blogs.apache.org/foundation/entry/the_apache_software_foundation_announces40

Note that the Parquet announcement will have a format similar to this and the
Apache Samza announcements, as this is the ASF house style.

I'm happy to work with you to sanity-check/review any supporting announcements
as well.

Hope this helps,
Sally

Thanks for making sure everyone is on the thread.

So it looks like the annoucement should have:

* Parquet is graduating! Yay!
* A short description of what Parquet does
* Testimonials about how awesome Parquet is
* What graduation means for the Apache Parquet community

Is that a good summary?

For the more in-depth post, what were you thinking about, Chris?

We could include a bit more project history and highlight how it has
grown since becoming part of Apache. I'd like to highlight where we're
headed after graduation. I think there is a lot going on we can talk about.
