I've done some efforts to resolve this issue, and now it works for me for all
PDF files with True Type fonts. I'm attaching a patch that contains my changes.
Note: I'm not sure if the patch is useful for the PDFBox project, since it
contains code from JPedal LGPL source code, used to read CMAP from TTF files,
downloaded from: http://www.jpedal.org. License information is present in the
file headers.
