Hi Tilman, thanks for taking care.
I think that pdf was created by using the "scan text" feature of simple scan
which might limit the colours to 4 grey types. I could try to find a scan
feature which scans black and white only, if that is what you mean by providing
an image with just black and white?
So far, this seems to be a problem with color space conversion?
At least, imageMagick does a correct image conversion.
