Tilman Hausherr commented on PDFBOX-6249:
-----------------------------------------
After doing the change in FontMapperImpl there is one file,
PDFBOX-6175-WWNU7HS7FIUK3TT2DGHTZ2T4MYPCTNYJ-p1-reduced.pdf, which succeeds
with the change in PDCIDFontType0.java. After the change I get the same log
message as you do. However "NotoSerifCJKjp" shouldn't be, because with the
changes I did a CJKjp font wouldn't match. The ttc file has a weirdness that is
also shown with OTM Light: each font in the collection points to the same
NotoSansCJKjp-Regular CFF header, maybe that is what goes wrong.
> Non-embedded Adobe-GB1/CNS1/Japan1 fonts render as .notdef even when Noto CJK
> / Source Han fonts are installed

> There was a small handful of files where pdftoppm and pdfium were handling
