I don't find any "activity class" in the PDFBOX software.
I looked at the PDF files you attached. Many of them have problems to decode
the data within. I tried to convert one of the files ("01. Heads of Terms
(Signed).pdf") with qpdf, and succeeded but it did mention several errors. Did
you create these files yourself? (I'm wondering whether 1) Acrobat creates
broken files or 2) they were transferred with ascii ftp or 3) a bug in PDFBOX
that wasn't discovered before)
