[~frankv], have you seen [Tabula|http://tabula.nerdpower.org/]? It's a JRuby
tool which uses PDFBox. If you have code you'd like to propose to be added to
PDFBox please open a new JIRA issue and attach (More > Attach Files) an [svn
patch|https://ariejan.net/2007/07/03/how-to-create-and-apply-a-patch-with-subversion/].
